Mateo Bande Rodríguez was born in Galicia (northwest Spain) in 1999. He completed his bachelor's degree in 2022 with Prof. Christian Wetzel at the Basque Country Conservatory of Music (Musikene). He is currently studying music education in the master's program with Prof. Simon Fuchs at the Zurich University of the Arts ZHdK. Mateo Bande also works with professional orchestras such as the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra or the Banda Municipal de Bilbao, as well as with several youth orchestras. He combines this experience as an oboist with a degree in psychology from the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia UNED, which gives him the perfect mix for balanced, efficient, technically brilliant and fun learning. In his classes, the most important thing is the fun of learning and music.
Mateo conveys his passion for music and oboe to his students and can communicate in English, German, Portuguese and Spanish.
