Icelandic-born Marius Sverrisson has been teaching singing and musical theater for years, and some of Iceland's most sought-after pop stars have benefited from his coaching.
Marius studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. He completed his master's degree in music at the Icelandic University of the Arts in Reykjavik.
In Switzerland, Marius has performed as a singer in "Appassionata" at the Hallenstadion in Zurich, among other venues. In the City- Halle Winterthur he sang the main role in the musical "Space Dream" and brought the own production "Der Koboldkönig" on stage.
Marius was engaged for a leading role in the musical "Titanic" in Hamburg, where the composer Maury Yeston wrote a
new song for him and his stage partner, which the two premiered on the television program "Wetten dass ...".
In London's West End, he played the role of Aaron in Peter
Johnston's "Moses." He has appeared in leading roles at the Icelandic Opera in "Sweeney Todd" and at the Icelandic National Theatre in the musical "Spamalot."
Marius has also been engaged as a vocal soloist with the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra. He can be heard on several CDs, such as "Titanic" in Hamburg, "Cabaret" in Vienna, the Christmas album "Frostrósir" and his solo album "Mobile". It is important to Marius to promote the talent of each individual and to create a creative space where everyone can develop their strengths.
