Danielli Johnson

Born into a traditional family of musicians, she began studying viola at the Conservatório Pernambucano de Música in Recife Brazil in 2002 under the guidance of Ademar Rocha.
During her studies in Brazil she took lessons with great violists such as José Carlos dos Santos and Jairo Chaves.
She was solo viola in the Orange Chamber Music in Brazil under the direction of Cussy de Almeida.
In 2011 she has completed her Bachelor's degree at the Haute Ecole des Musique de Genève under the direction of Ori Kam.
In 2016 she was appointed by her first professor José Ademar (orchestra director and supervisor of the social project: Criança Cidadã in Ipojuca, Brazil) to teach students between 8 and 20 years of age and to give individual and group lessons.
In 2017 she received a Master in Pedagogy at the University of the Arts Bern under the direction of Gertrud Weinmeister.
During her master's degree in pedagogy she completed an internship at the Conservatory of Fribourg in the class of Delphine Richard (violin lessons) and at the Music School of Biel (violin, viola and chamber music). After her internship she began teaching in Diane Codourey's class as a substitute teacher.
She had the opportunity to play in major orchestras in Switzerland as a student, including the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, the Orchestre de la Ville de Bulle and the Biel Solothurn Symphony Orchestra and others. During her musical education she took courses with great musicians and violists such as Gilad Karni (principal viola of the Tonhalle Orchester Zürich), Wilfried Strehle (principal viola of the Berliner Philharmoniker).
